I am have teamed up with Katrina Madrilejo from Why Knot Escapes to take you on a journey online of self reflection, manifestation, mindful creativity and movement. Join us on Sunday, 9th May 2021 for Transition Retreat 2021 as we flow through Vinyasa yoga to free your spirit and Yin yoga to calm your mind. Bring your creative juices and imagination alive with visualisation & journalling exercises and make a bracelet as a reminder of your discovery and fierceness to move forward.
The pandemic has taught us many things, what to let go of and what we need more of. Together we will enquire within and acknowledge the fruits that we have acquired during the last year and the empty seeds that we wish to leave behind as we enter a new way of life post Covid.
This will be a safe, creative, non-judgement space where you will meet new like-minded people and leave the space feeling grounded, revitalised and ready for the transition into the real world.

Kat is the Founder of Why Knot Escapes—a platform where self care is priority through yoga, mindful macrame, and sharing sustainable products. After completing an MA in Dance, her love of movement led her to India where she became a Registered Yoga Teacher in Hatha & Ashtanga under Yoga Alliance.
Kat is a full time yoga teacher and is currently teaching Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Pregnancy & After Birth, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra. Growing up in an arts school, she has always had an eye and passion to create projects with her own hands. She creates fibre art and hosts macrame workshops as a form of mindful meditation. Yoga is not just about perfecting an asana on your mat, yoga is a lifestyle. Kat developed Why Knot Escapes to encourage an open mind and a compassionate heart, to show awareness of what you take in your body to how you spend your time.
Mel, (well, that’s me), is the Founder of You Are Yoga, which was created with Sangha — or community in mind. Mel discovered yoga 10 years ago which lead her, years later, to a solo trip around Asia to explore the heart of yoga. As part of this journey, she found herself on the beautiful, crystal island of Koh Pangan where she trained in Hatha-Vinyasa yoga and Yoga Nidra recognised by Yoga Alliance. Always a student, ongoing training has lead Mel to regularly teach Vinyasa, Yin and Pregnancy yoga, Yoga Nidra and Meditation.
Her heart-based teachings embody looking within to find and connect with self-compassion and empowerment. A practitioner of meditation and visualisation techniques, Mel always encourages her students to dig deep and look within to find the answers. Once the truth is discovered from within we can pour this kind and loving energy into others. This in turn creates a conscious community of like-minded people who can lift each other up as we flow and breathe through the throws of this life.
